Reconstruction Design • Sustainable Artist Wardrobe

↓ English version below ↓

• Vienna Fashion Week 2026 - „Next Generation“-Programm

(Models, Hair & Make-up, Showtechnik, Promotion, Pop-up-Locations und organisatorische Kosten.

A collection made from existing materials. The first step towards a local Artist Wardrobe.

Hi, I'm Maria, a fashion designer from Innsbruck, Austria, and the founder of MΛRIΛ LINGENOVER.

I create one-of-one garments by hand using second-hand textiles and existing materials. My first collection has been selected for the "Next Generation" programme at Vienna Fashion Week 2026.

Whether this collection becomes reality no longer depends on my creativity. It depends on whether I can afford to make it happen.

I'm much better at turning old paragliders into jackets than asking people for money. Yet here I am, writing this fundraiser.

I have applied for funding, presented my concept and tried to secure a business loan. Along the way, I have repeatedly been told that my idea has real potential. Nevertheless, I haven’t received any financial support.

Right now, I am facing the same challenge many founders encounter at the beginning: a lack of start-up capital.

I want to be completely transparent about how your support will be used, so here's a breakdown of the estimated costs:

• Vienna Fashion Week 2026 - "Next Generation" Programme

(Models, hair & make-up, show production, promotion, pop-up locations and organisational costs. I have already covered part of the programme costs myself.)

€7,000

• Development & production of the first collection

(Tools, machine maintenance, studio equipment and production materials.)

€2,000

• Materials & accessories

(Second-hand textiles, haberdashery, sewing supplies, shoes and accessories.)

€1,200

• Photo & video production

(Campaign shoot, behind-the-scenes content, website and social media.)

€1,000

• Travel, transport & logistics

(Material transport, travel expenses and presenting the collection.)

€1,300

• Building the local Artist Wardrobe

(Organisation, equipment, developing the rental concept and the first infrastructure.)

€2,500

Fundraising Goal: €15,000

Why this project?

Throughout my work as a fashion designer, I became increasingly aware of how many high-quality materials are discarded long before the end of their life. That's why I now work mainly with second-hand textiles and existing resources. To me, they are not a limitation, they are the starting point of every new design.

For my first collection, I'm also incorporating discarded materials from the Alpine region of Tyrol, including former paragliders, harnesses, buckles and carabiners. I want to show that materials which have lost their original purpose can be creatively transformed and given a second life in a completely new context.

Why an Artist Wardrobe?

Through my work as a DJ, I became part of the local creative scene and experienced how difficult it can be for emerging artists to access unique stage outfits when budgets are limited.

That's how the idea of a local circular Artist Wardrobe was born. A place where musicians, DJs, bands, dancers, performers, models, photographers and content creators can borrow unique designer pieces made from second-hand materials for performances, festivals, music videos and photo shoots instead of buying outfits that may only be worn once.

For me, Vienna Fashion Week is not the final destination. It's the beginning.

As one of Austria's most important platforms for emerging fashion designers, it gives me the opportunity to present my label and the idea of a local Artist Wardrobe to a wider audience for the first time and lay the foundation for its future.

With your support, you're not only helping me create my first collection. You're helping build the beginning of a long-term project that connects sustainable fashion with the creative community.

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings me one step closer to this dream. And if you’re not able to donate right now, it would mean so much to me if you shared this fundraiser.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
