Road To Tokyo Marathon 2024

Hi everyone! My name is Alex Manfredi, I am a marathon runner looking to raise funds for the Tokyo Toy Museum and for my flight to Japan.

Over my seven-year journey with running, I have had some incredible heights by breaking the 3-hour mark on my first official marathon (I ran a few marathons on my own... great way to spend a Sunday ) and massive lows with injuries that took me out of running for months. Running has always been in my corner to take a moment away from the pressures in my life, explore places I've never been, make new friends, or lift me up.

Through persistence and dumb luck, I have been accepted as a charity runner for the Tokyo Marathon in 2024! This was a pipe dream I never imagined happening, yet here we are. It also gives my grandma the opportunity to see me run in person instead of just hearing about it!

I am running for The Tokyo Toy Museum in Shinjuku, which is an inclusive art museum that inspires creativity and play for kids. With your help, I can run for a cause that shows the next generation how important play is in your life and how it can bring joy to everyone.
