Hi friends, family, and chosen family,

My name is Giorgio, also known as Gia Metric, a proud Canadian drag artist, performer, and athlete. After a thrilling first year of Artistic Swimming, this year I will be competing at the Gay Games 2026, taking place June 27 – July 4, 2026 in Valencia, Spain and I need your help to get there.

The Gay Games are more than a sporting event. They are a global celebration of inclusion, queer joy, resilience, and visibility. Athletes from all over the world come together to compete, connect, and show that everyone belongs in sport and culture -exactly as they are.

For me, this is about representation. As a queer, gender-diverse performer and athlete, showing up on an international stage matters. Not just for me, but for every person who has ever felt excluded from sports, art, or public space.
