Hi, I'm Lhiez!

I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve been selected to represent Great Britain as part of the Women’s National Baseball Team at the 2025 Women's Baseball European Championships this August!

A little about me

Born with a passion for sport and driven by purpose, I carry not just my Team GB colours but also the courageous and resilient heart of my Filipino heritage, my family, and every young girl who dreams of breaking boundaries. I’m not just stepping onto the field as an athlete — I’m doing it as a wife and a mom of three amazing young children, representing the pride of empowered women on the international stage.

This journey is deeply personal. It’s about showing my kids—and others—that hard work, passion, and perseverance can lead to extraordinary things. Dreams don’t end with parenthood—they evolve. With determination and discipline, it's possible to raise a child and raise the bar. That representation matters. And that moms can be athletes, leaders, and inspirations.

The tournament will take place in Hluboká, Czech Republic. This elite tournament brings together the top women’s baseball teams from across Europe, competing at the highest level of the sport. The full tournament details are available at WBSC Europe- Women's Euro Baseball 2025

As a self-funded athlete, I’m responsible for covering all travel, accommodation, training camps and preparation, transportation, food, gear/equipment and more myself. I am working hard to cover as much as I can myself, but I'm reaching out to family, friends and community support essential to help me bridge the gap. Representing GB on the international stage is a huge honour, and with your help, I can proudly fly the flag for both my country and for women in sport.

Why It Matters:

Women’s baseball is growing—but still underfunded. As one of only a few women of far-east asian heritage playing at this level in the UK, I carry that representation with pride and responsibility. I want my children — and the wider community — to see that we all have a place on the field, no matter where we come from or what our story is. This isn’t just about baseball.

It’s about breaking barriers, inspiring others, and honouring my roots while wearing the GB jersey with pride.

I’ll also be sharing regular updates, photos, and highlights throughout the trip and tournament, so you’ll be right there with me on this unforgettable journey.
