In late August, Russ Meyers was hospitalized and diagnosed with severe sepsis and kidney failure. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, complications arose, leading to the necessity of a bilateral below knee amputation.

Russ has shown immense strength and resilience throughout over the last 6 weeks, but the road to recovery is long. Although, he has wonderful health insurance, it does not cover all the costs of Russ’s ongoing care, rehabilitation, and necessary modifications to his home.
