My name is Brittany, I’m a very good friend of Kay Dewberry. With her mom and her families permission I made this account to: help with medical bills, and expenses during this difficult time. If you can/want to donate for this cause, please do, it is greatly appreciated by the family, donations are accepted and will be given to Kay’s mother, Deborah. If you can’t donate, that is fine also, just send up prayers for my sweet friend! IF you know Kay, whether it has been for a lifetime, a very long time, or just briefly, then you are aware of the type of person is she, and the impact she has given many! Kay is definitely not the type to ask for help, and she isn’t, but I am, for her and her mother.

•Wednesday, July 29th, 2020: due to unforeseen circumstances, Kay Dewberry was  shot in her upper body above her shoulders. She was taken by ambulance to our local hospital, where she then had to be life flighted after the doctors/nurses were able to get her stable. She arrived at another facility late last night, where she was then sedated keep her from feeling any pain at the time.
•Thursday, July 30th, 2020: Kay is fighting with each passing second of the day. She hasn’t given up, and I’m a firm believer that she will keep fighting! Kay is currently sedated, and on life support. She has moved extremities, and briefly opened her eyes. Progress means improvement, thank the lord!

I will update with each day. Kay has a long road to recovery as she has to undergo surgery when she is stable enough to do so. Let’s show Kay/her family that she has an army of people standing with her/beside her, and that we are here in this difficult time of need!
