Road to recovery for Stacy!

Donation protected
On Sunday evening 6/17/2018, Stacy was in a terrible accident. Not only is Stacy one of our great friends, she is also one of the biggest supporters of our village. She and her family are going to need your love and support during this time. This unfortunate circumstance has left her with multiple major injuries to her upper body including her arms, ribs, face, and head. She is being cared for at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is currently in Intensive Care. Her road to recovery will consist of many corrective surgeries and will take at least a full year.

If there is one thing that Stacy nor Dave should have to worry about is expenses. Our goal is to help them focus on healing, their son Jamis, and a full and speedy recovery. Thank you all! ❤️❤️❤️

***Update on Stacy***
6/18/2018

She has broken right wrist, broken left arm, facial fractures, skull fracture and a lacerated liver. All will need surgery at some point. They flew us up here in the helicopter from Saint Pete’s yesterday at 2045. She was unconscious until just a little bit ago.

She was moved to ICU around 0230. She has been able to respond with head nods to questions. At one point before they moved her she sat up, I told her I was there and that she needed to lie back down. She nodded her head and laid down, I asked her if she could hear me and she nodded yes, I asked her if she remembered what happened and she nodded yes. Her medical team does rounds at 0900 so I hopefully will know more then.

Please continue praying for her.

***2nd update for Stacy for tonight ***

She has been very responsive, she can answer questions with head nods still. She could open her eyes and recognize people. They were going remove her breathing tube today but her throat was too tight and they did not feel safe removing it. They will try again tomorrow. She is going to potentially have surgery on her right wrist tomorrow morning.

Her list of injuries:
Distal radius fracture
Right arm

Ulnar shaft fracture left arm

7th right rib fracture
Right temporal bone fracture
Orbital floor fracture
Left frontal sinus and frontal bone
Left Zygomatic arch
Left sided le fort 1,2,3
Right temporal bone

Liver lac

She has a long recovery ahead but seems to be progressing amazingly. Please keep praying for her. The prayers and love are absolutely healing her.

***Morning update day 2.5:***

Good morning, she is listed as an add on for surgery for her right distal radius fracture so no specific time as of yet. They are going to talk with the surgical team and see how likely surgery today will be and decide whether or not to remove her tube. If it’s likely that she’ll have surgery today they will probably leave her tube until after, if it’s unlikely that she’ll get in today theyll try to remove the tube.

She had a couple of episodes of coughing some fluid during the night but otherwise rested well. Her facial swelling has reduced significantly!

She is still responding very clearly to questions, commands etc.

Thank you to EVERYONE for the unbelievable love and support. She is definitely recovering because of all the prayers and let be from our friends and family! Please keep praying as she has a long road ahead still.
