Road to Recovery for Alex Moreno

Alex had gone missing  since Sunday February 23 and was recently found at Bellevue Medical Center in critical condition after falling into a moving subway at the Astor Place station in NYC.  While we all are extremely happy to have found him ,  we are left with many questions and disheartened.  After a desperate search, we just learned that he has unfortunately suffered severe injuries,  losing both of his arms. Alex continues to be unconscious, unaware of his circumstances and extremely sedated.  

Many of us have have gotten to know Alex through work, he has probably served many of us a drink at various nightclubs in the city. For some of us, he also is a friend, a colleague, a cousin, a son and husband. For some others, he is a wonderful, caring , funny friendly face who, we shared a drink, laughed  with and probably cried at times. He is hard working and a genuine human being looking for what we all seek, some happiness and opportunities in this tough city

I know we may get these types of go-fund me pleas and while they all have legitimate purposes, we are asking that you consider this and help a little, even if it is just a few dollars.  Or please feel free to send this campaign to your friends and family. Maybe they will also be moved as we all are and decide to help. While no amount of money can turn back the clock, we hope that the generosity of many of us can given Alex, and his family some financial room with which to even contemplate the hard and difficult journey they will face for years to come.
