Aled’s road to the Paralympics

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Aled Griffiths. I was born with a medical condition called VACTERL Association which means I have lots of problems both inside and out. However my main issues are with my hands.
Since the age of 8 I have been giving presentations to families affected with VACTERL Association as well as medical staff about how I live with my condition. My aim through these presentations was to say that you should always stay positive and believe in yourself.  Nothing should stop you from reaching your goal.  These presentations led to some awards including the Rotary GB and Ireland Young Citizen Award, a Diana Champion Volunteer Award, and finally the prestigious British Citizen Youth Award.

Two years ago I started target shooting with the Scouts, it soon came to light that I was relatively good at it, and it’s one of a few sports that I can actually compete in.

I was recently invited for a talent assessment to see if I was good enough to join the British Shooting Paralympic Talent Programme.

I am excited to say that I have been invited to join the programme with the ultimate aim of taking part in the Paralympic Games some time in the future.

However all the travel, accommodation, equipment etc is very expensive and that is why I am asking for your help.

I would really appreciate it if you could kindly donate to help me reach my ultimate goal of shooting for my Country at the Paralympic Games.

Thank you.
