Help send us to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge this January!
Hello there friends & fans!
As you may have heard, Erin Harpe Country Blues Duo (featuring Jim Countryman on bass) was recently chosen to represent the Granite State Blues Society in the Solo/Duo category at the International Blues Challenge! It’s a big honor to represent our local blues scene here in New England again, and we’re really excited about this opportunity! However, there are considerable costs to get us down there, so if you’d like to help, we’d be grateful for a donation to help offset some of our expenses (like gas & tolls, lodging, food, etc.). Any amount is appreciated!!
The International Blues Challenge (IBC) takes place in Memphis, TN, from January 24-28, 2023. It represents a worldwide search for blues bands & solo/duo blues performers ready for the international stage yet just needing that extra big break. The world’s largest gathering of blues musicians takes place on Beale Street, with over 20 clubs hosting the challengers and fans. In addition to featuring these final rounds of the prestigious blues music competition, the IBC event week offers seminars, showcases, master classes, film screenings, networking events, book signings, and receptions for blues societies, fans, and professionals.
We’ve been to the IBC more than once and made it to the Semi-Finals multiple times. This time around, we’ll be trying our best to kick ass and get to the Finals – but either way – it’s always an unforgettable experience with lots of benefits... Like showcasing our music in front of industry professionals, attending workshops, and networking with performers and fans from all over the world. There’s no better place for blues musicians to be than on Beale Street in Memphis during the IBC! That said, it’s not a paying gig, so that’s why we’re asking for a little help from our friends.
We’re incredibly grateful to have your support, as always! And happy to have you along for the ride – we plan on sharing the whole experience, so stay tuned.
Erin & Jim
