Hello, my name is Daniel Chaves. I am an Olympic marathon runner from Brazil, currently living and training in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the dream of qualifying and competing in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Running has been my life’s journey — from humble beginnings in Petrópolis, Brazil, training barefoot and guided by local mentors, to competing at the highest level in international marathons. I’ve represented Brazil on the world stage, but my path has never been easy. Every step has been fueled by discipline, faith, and the desire to inspire others through running.
Today, as I continue to train at altitude in Flagstaff, I also dedicate myself to coaching athletes around the world, helping them transform not only their performances but their lives. My mission is bigger than personal achievements: it’s about building community, sharing resilience, and proving that dreams are possible when pursued with heart and perseverance.
Preparing for the next Olympic cycle requires enormous commitment — physically, emotionally, and financially. Training camps, physiotherapy, travel to qualifying races, and daily living expenses add up quickly. With your support, I will be able to stay fully focused on training and competitions, ensuring that I reach my peak performance in the years leading to 2028.
Your contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to this goal. More than supporting an athlete, you’ll be part of a journey of hope, discipline, and transformation, helping me inspire the next generation of runners and dreamers.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for believing in me and in this dream. Together, let’s run towards Los Angeles 2028!
