Our goal? To bring one of our brightest amateur athletes, William Ortiz, to the pinnacle of Muay Thai competition at the IFMA World Championships in Greece. There, years of dedication and commitment will bring the elusive gold medal within reach.

Our coach from the outset, Kru Mikey Perez, is one of just few Canadians to become a Gold Medalist at the World Championships. As the next generation at Southside Muay Thai Academy, we’re eager to carry on his legacy, inspire young hopefuls, and proudly represent Canada in the world’s largest Muay Thai competition.

Southside Muay Thai Academy has a storied history of competition success, including multiple team cup wins at the annual TBA Classic Expo. With our triumphs in the North American circuit, it’s time to demonstrate our prowess to competitors from around the world.

As amateur athletes, the IFMA World Championships is an invaluable opportunity to showcase our skills and further our careers. But, we need your help to get there.

Your contributions will help bring William, and our two head coaches to the championships in Greece. As amateur athletes, we work with very limited resources to bring our dreams to fruition. The costs to participate in the competition, including flights, accommodations, food, registrations, and rentals, quickly accumulate. Every donation counts!
