Hi everyone!

My name is Suzanna Shahbazian, and I’m a professional rhythmic gymnast proudly representing Canada on the international stage. I’ve dedicated my life to this beautiful and demanding sport for over a decade, training every single day with discipline, passion, and resilience. I’ve been selected to compete at the upcoming FISU World University Games 2025 in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, one of the most prestigious competitions for student-athletes worldwide. It’s an incredible honour to wear the Canadian flag and represent my country alongside other top athletes from around the world.

What makes this opportunity more challenging is that the FISU World University Games 2025 are entirely self-funded. This means that despite being chosen to represent my country, I need to personally cover all the costs including travel, accommodation, registration fees, coaching and equipment. These expenses add up quickly to several thousand dollars.

As a full-time athlete and university student, balancing intense training with academic responsibilities is already a major commitment. Covering these financial demands alone is incredibly difficult, which is why I’m reaching out to my community, supporters, and anyone who believes in hard work and chasing big dreams. This isn’t just another competition for me it’s an important step toward my biggest goal: qualifying for the Olympic Games. Every international event like the FISU Games helps me grow physically, mentally, and strategically. It gives me the exposure, experience, and confidence I need to keep progressing. I’m already seeing real improvements in my performance and ranking. With your support, I know I can take it even further. This journey is long and tough, but every step counts and this one is key. With your support, I’ll be one step closer to making the Olympic dream a reality.
