Reading Rockets wheelchair basketball -road to Eurocup 2025

Can you help our wheelchair basketball team achieve their dream of competing in the 2025 Wheelchair Basketball Eurocup!

Having had incredible success in their 2023/24 season going undefeated and gaining promotion to the Premier Division of the British Wheelchair Basketball National League, the Reading Rockets are continuing to challenge themselves and be the first team in Berkshire to take Wheelchair Basketball abroad!

The team members travel from all over the South of England including athletes from both the Junior and Senior GB squads to train together in Berkshire.

However, the costs of travel, accommodation, and equipment are beyond our current means. Your support will enable us to represent our community on the international stage and inspire others with disabilities to pursue their passions. Disability sport is notoriously underfunded which leaves our players having to make huge financial sacrifices. Most are working full time or depend on family and charity donations to fund their opportunities and basic equipment. Just a basic wheelchair can cost upwards of £4000.

We are travelling to Italy in May to compete in the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation's Euro Cup Qualification round.Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal of competing in the 2025 Eurocup and putting disability sport in Berkshire on the International map!
