In August 2026, Kate Bromage and Veronica Montalbetti are finally ticking off a major item from our bucket lists: taking our original writing to the Edinburgh Fringe in the form of two productions, Book Club and A Long Story Short.

For the past ten years, we’ve both been writing and creating theatre in our local community, all the while quietly dreaming of the day we’d take our own work to Edinburgh. This year, we finally gave each other the push we needed. With a company of extremely talented friends, we’re taking the leap and heading to the Fringe in August 2026. It’s finally happening!

One of the most common questions people ask is: “How do you actually get to perform at Edinburgh?” The honest answer is, alongside a good show and a dedicated team, you need money, and quite a lot of it. Unfortunately, neither of us is Phoebe Waller-Bridge… yet. Everyone involved in these productions, including ourselves, is doing this purely for the love of theatre. We are all unpaid, giving our time freely for writing, directing, rehearsing and performing. On top of that, we are completely self-funding this entire project.
