Road to Collegiate Nationals

This year, the University of North Texas' four strongest female powerlifters will be competing at Nationals, and we are asking for our wonderful community of friends, family, and amazing supporters to help and continue to support us on our road to Collegiate Nationals. 

As we approach the day that we've been training very hard for, we continue to push ourselves to our limits, preparing ourselves to dominate at this year's Collegiate Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, being hosted by Ohio State University. 

Unfortunately, our team of strong and young women are short on the necessary funds to get us to Ohio State. For this, we kindly ask for any donations possible. They would be greatly appreciated and would very much help us get to the competition we've been training so hard for.

As mentioned, here are your four lifters:

Brenda Sanchez, from Fort Worth, Tx. She competed in powerlifting her senior year of high school and competed at the 2018 THSWPA State Meet, earning a 5th place medal. She is a Bio-Medical Engineering major, full-time student at the University of North Texas. Her qualifying total was 460kg (1,014.3lbs) and will be lifting in the Raw, 84kg+ (185.22lbs+) weight class/division. She will be competing on April 15th.

Fre'Daisa Daniels, from Longview, Tx. She competed at last year's Collegiate Nationals at Texas A&M University, and also competed at the State level during her high school years. She is a Psychology major, full-time student at the University of North Texas. Her qualifying total was 367.5kg (810.34lbs) and will be lifting in the Raw, 84kg- (185.22lbs-) weight class/division. She will be competing on April 15th.

Laisha Gardner, from Laredo, Tx. She completed in powerlifting throughout her four years of high school and competed at the 2018 THSWPA State Meet, earning her 3rd, consecutive, State Champion title. She is a Biology major, full-time student at the University of North Texas. Her qualifying total was 420kg (926.1lbs) and will be lifting in the Raw, 72kg (158.76lbs) weight class/division. She will be competing on April 14th.

Hallie Brinson, from Early, Tx. She competed in powerlifting throughout her four years of high school and competed at the 2018 THSWPA State Meet, earning a 3rd place medal. She is a Psychology major, full-time student at the University of North Texas. Her qualifying total was 340kg (749.7lbs) and will be lifting in the Raw, 63kg (138.92lbs) weight class/division. She will be competing on April 13th.
