The Wing and Waffle Factory Food Trailer

My name is Loren Small-Teal and I’m a mom of 3, and a disabled army veteran who loves to cook. My grandmother always told me if you’re too ashamed to ask for something you probably don’t need it. Never had to apply that to anything until now. Banks are really trying to let anyone borrow with the COVID-19 outbreak it’s understandably so, but it puts start ups in a more vulnerable place. 

Before the coronavirus I decided to start selling my recipes and cookbooks to help me raise money for a food truck to take the financial freedom route. The name of my business is The Wing and Waffle Factory, and I started it in my tiny apartment complex. Due to my large social media presence I decided to look into opening a restaurant then decided to open a food truck first so my family can travel and serve all of my followers the food I have been displaying online. Not only that we want to accommodate all the people in the city with a fun friendly food setting that’s open for takeout and delivery and my tiny kitchen can’t accommodate it all.

 Selling recipes and cookbooks has been moving along pretty good, however in order to obtain a quicker start to a food truck we decided to try to take out a loan and someone suggested we start a GoFundMe considering we sometimes get donations from friends and family to help us reach our goal. If this doesn’t work we will look into loan options, but we want to try all different routes first.

All support whether mentally, physically, or financially is welcome. I know these are trying times so to open your wallets as well as your hearts is GREATLY appreciated. This is something that is wanted so bad we can taste it. (Pun intended lol) Edit the goal amount was lowered because we were able to use all of our business money to put into a vehicle for towing a trailer. I didn’t want be selfish when we already have half the battle down!
