Road Rage Victim and Family
My nephew, Joe, was the victim of an unprovoked road rage shooting on September 19th while driving home on I-35 in Olathe. The suspect first tried to prevent Joe from getting into the the entrance lane to 1-35 at 119th. Once on the highway, the suspect lowered his passenger window and began shooting at Joe. Joe was hit in the left arm, with the bullet traveling to his shoulder, and also in his right arm and left leg. Multiple bullets were found by police having entered the driver's side of Joe's car.
Joe is a veteran, having served as a combat medic paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in two theaters, Iraq and Afghanistan. He currently works as a nurse in the Kansas City area.
Thanks to this senseless act of violence, Joe will incur ambulance, hospital and auto repair bills he was not prepared for, not to mention the psychological stress he will deal with going forward. Thank you for any help you can provide.
