On March 23, 2005, my cousin Jessica’s life changed forever. She was in a tragic accident caused by road rage that left her paralyzed. Since then, she has faced more medical challenges and obstacles than most of us can imagine—but through it all, Jessica has shown incredible strength, courage, and determination.
Jessica’s story has even gone beyond our family. In the aftermath of her accident, Governor Chris Christie signed a law against road rage—an effort to prevent others from experiencing the kind of tragedy Jessica has endured. Her strength and perseverance have already made an impact far greater than herself.
Today, Jessica continues to work on her independence, despite the hardships she faces every single day. Right now, she and her mother need support for a vital piece of equipment: an electric Hoyer lift. This lift will not only ensure Jessica’s comfort and safety, but it will also make daily care far easier for her mother, who has been her tireless caregiver. It’s more than just a piece of equipment—it represents dignity, independence, and relief for both of them.
We’re asking for your help to make this possible. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference in Jessica’s life and bring her one step closer to the comfort and independence she deserves.
Thank you for reading Jessica’s story and for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness means the world to our family.
❤️ With gratitude,
Laura
Please donate and share Jessica’s story—not only to support her journey, but also to spread awareness about the dangers of road rage and the lasting impact it can have on families.
