Service Dog for Asperger Disorder
Hello my name is Epiphany Hawkins, I suffer from autism (asperger's disorder), major depression, anxiety, long term insomnia (trouble falling and staying asleep), and 27 years of great social anxiety and isolation that I have done to myself. I wish to despite my disabilty to strive to life on my own.
I discovered from a family member that having a therapy/ service dog would greatly benefit me and the daily struggles I have to deal with in my life, I have went to my therapist and doctor that agree it'll benefit with improving my progress, I have research and discovered an orgnazation that'll help me find the prefect service dog and train said dog to fit my needs, Medical Mutts.
My therapist and I have discovered that there is no health insurnce that does coverage for service dog for the disable in Indiana. So I went to see how much money I would need and along with finding other places, and Medical Mutts gave me a really cheap choose with low risk of money waste on an untrainable dog. All the money will be going into the training of the service dog, even if the train isn't complete I shall keep the dog regardless of effort, I just wish to know if this opinion that I am more comfortable with is reach able as I prepare to live on my own.
