Hi, my name is Wendy, I am disabled and have a visual impairment and numerous medical problems and i have been raising money for local charities by making handmade crafts and am now doing a sponsored scoot on my mobility scooter from my home in Cwmerfyn to The Hut on South Beach Aberystwyth where i get my lush caramel lattes from and watch the waves, which is about 12 miles via the scenic pathways route!

I am raising funds for The RNLI for saving lives at sea, as they do a great job, and i am looking to support in funding a lifeguard kit or equipment and i love the beach and sea...it's my happy place.

Also the Respiratory Unit at Bronglais Hospital as i spent 6 weeks in there over Christmas and New Year a couple of years ago and Dr Will Wolf and his team were amazing and helped get me through a very serious illness, but were always short of vital medical equipment needed for the unit like nebulisers etc so hopefully i can fund the purchase of some equipment.

I am looking to do this on a weekend day Saturday 20th September...depending on weather!

i have Gail Evans (running) from Plascrug Leisure centre and Maddy Lewis (cycling) from my village to support me on the way.
