Greetings from Antarctica.
Musto our Felt Volunteer Crew Member and I have marked a significant birthday by taking on a rigging climb on the tall ship Bark Europa. Although we are fond of the sea, mast and bowsprit climbs has been consciously avoided till now. Three months of pre-trip training got us past the fitness test and the rest as they say is history. Now, we must admit to a minor climbing addiction.
Our RNLI station in Falmouth is the busiest in Cornwall and is also one of the busiest in the UK & Ireland where our mission is a simple one, to Save Lives at Sea. The RNLI is the only emergency service manned by volunteers (on 24/7 call) and totally funded by donations. Every pound is truly appreciated and makes our mission possible.
Thank you for anything you might be able to donate.
Yvonne & Musto, Falmouth Lifeboat Station
