Diana’s treatment will realistically require we have launched this fundraiser, our original goal was set at £50,000 because we didn’t yet know how much the treatment would cost or if support would even come. But after speaking directly with the pharmaceutical company in Uk , medical professionals, and families who are on similar treatment journeys, we now know that the total cost of Diana’s treatment will be no less than £270000, and could be more depending on her response and the duration required.

The medications Diana urgently needs - ONC201 and ONC206 - are highly specialised and not available in the UK. The cost is unpredictable because every child’s body responds differently. Some children require the treatment for two years or longer. There is no timeline, so we must be prepared for the long term.

Here is our treatment plan:

• We will obtain the medication directly from the pharmaceutical company in Germany.

• The medication will then be transported to Turkey, where it will be administered by a private specialist doctor who has experience with this type of treatment.

This treatment route - obtaining the medication from Germany and administering it in Turkey, is the most financially viable option available to us. While Diana has not yet started treatment, we have carefully planned this approach after extensive research and consultation. Receiving care in Turkey with the support of a trusted private doctor will significantly reduce costs compared to staying in Germany. However, there are still substantial and ongoing expenses involved as stated before, including:

• ONC201 and ONC206 medications

• Safe transport of the medication from Germany to Turkey

• Administration of treatment by a private doctor in Turkey

• Hospital stays, scans, and any emergency procedures

• Doctor’s fees and ongoing monitoring

• Accommodation, travel, and living expenses for our family during treatment

• Supportive therapies and contingency for complications

This revised goal reflects the true financial reality of giving Diana the best possible chance - not only to extend her life, but to help her live with quality, dignity, and hope. We wish this figure didn’t have to be so high. But this is the road ahead, and we are determined to walk it - with your help.
