Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you know, Maddie suffered a brain injury after choking on a toy on July 22nd and is currently on a ventilator in the PICU at Children's Hospital at Erlanger, Chattanooga, TN. Her parents, Patrick & Mindi of course have been by her side since the accident. Patrick and & Mindi have two other small children at home as well, Noah and Corey who are Maddie's big brothers. Maddie just celebrated her 1 year birthday earlier this month.

Maddie's injury is irreversible and testing that was performed this morning is showing that the remaining brain function she has is not compatible with life. Over the 12-24 hours they will slowly weaning her off the sedation medications and then she will be removed from life support.

We are devastated to say the least and are asking for donations on behalf of the family to help with funeral expenses, as well as everyday expenses. Her parents have not been able to work and we are not sure how soon they will be able to return. We hope to relieve some of their financial burden and not have them worry about expenses at this sad time. Maddie's parents will have direct access to all funds donated.
