Josh exudes what it means to live in the moment. He has a lust for life like no other person I know. A father to two perfect little boys, Ethan and Brooks, and the most loving wife in Autumn,  he was truly living his best life. However, at the young age of 32 his life  unexpectedly  took a surprising turn. In September 2018 he was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pain and after a scrutiny of tests, was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. 
He bravely started chemotherapy on October 2nd and was determined to face his diagnosis head on. 
He recently completed chemotherapy and underwent his resection surgery this past week. Unfortunately, the cancer was further involved than they had expected and after 14 hours of surgery they removed his colon, a foot of small bowel, gallbladder, spleen, part of his liver, all of the abdominal lining and the omentum. They were unable to remove all of the cancer so they were aggressive with the HIPEC chemotherapy treatment hoping that would help treat the remaining 25% of tumor in his abdomen. 

Josh has made it through his surgery but will most certainly have an extremely long road ahead on his road to recovery. He has done everything he can to be optimistic through this grueling process and has wanted to be a voice of encouragement for others along the way.
