To whom it may concern,

Let me start off by saying I’m very lucky to be alive and thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page.

My name is Chris King and I am a Parts Delivery Driver as well as the vocalist for the band Fighting The Phoenix.

Currently, I am in the hospital healing until they clear me to go home; I gotta find a way to walk again and fix the various broken parts of my body. I got into a very bad accident coming home from a long workday in Durango. I rear-ended a stopped truck going the speed limit (75-80mph) around 8 pm and flew into the ditch below. I was almost home; I had 30 mins left.

I’m not one to ask for help or donations, but this incident is going to cost me more than I can afford and I’m unsure what happens next. I haven’t seen my dog or stepdaughter in days, and my family hasn’t left my side. I’m going to be off work for a while recovering and possibly getting surgery on the broken parts of my body. I am typing this as I’m currently laying in a hospital bed all rigged up. I’m just happy to be alive after such a brutal incident; I got lucky.

Moral of this message: wear your seatbelt, cause it in fact saves lives… it saved mine.

If you could please share and/or donate to help me through this long recovery process, I am forever grateful for the support I have seen so far. I will be posting updates here and on social media as I can, but for now, I will continue to rest.

Cheers,
Chris King
