Hi, I’m making this for my uncle.

He’s been in the U.S. for over 20 years and has always been a hard worker. He used to have a steady job, but after he got injured, he lost it. Even then, he didn’t stop. He started working with my dad doing gardening, even though it was hard on his body and he was in pain most of the time. Still, he would wake up every day at 6 AM and go to work without complaining.

That’s just who he is. He doesn’t ask for much, he just shows up and helps.

This all happened on a regular Saturday morning. Around 7 AM, my dad and him stopped to get bread and coffee before work, and that’s when they were pulled over by ICE. He was taken, and now he’s being detained in Adelanto. We have until the end of May for his hearing.

It feels really weird not having him here. He’s a big part of our family, and he’s always been someone we could count on. He’s kind, caring, and very reliable.
