I've been on dialysis for almost three years and I'm ready to get back to my life.
Some of you know. I left for work May 2012, arrived, walked in to clock in and couldn't catch my breath. My supervisor called 911 and they insisted I go to the ER. My kidney function had fallen to less than 25%, which is automatic dialysis when you're diabetic.
I've since lost enough weight to no longer need insulin or any meds for my diabetes or high blood pressure, but still go to dialysis three times a week. The process and troubles I've had to deal with is something I didn't think I'd ever have to contend with, but yet here I am.
The actual transplant is covered by my insurance, but we have to have several thousand set aside before surgery for the anti rejection meds.
That's why I've set this account up. I was gainfully employed, but now on disability...that's a major change. I need help raising the funds.
If you can find it in your hearts to lend a hand, then it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
