Areli 15 Years Old...
Donation protected
Over a year ago, we started this GoFundMe account to raise funds to help Arely with the expenses that leukemia comes with. Now, with a saddened heart, the purpose of this GoFundMe account has shifted to raising funds for Arely's funeral expenses.
A lot has happened in this past year. Although, we are broken hearted to see such a young, vibrant, young lady loose her battle against cancer, she leaves great and positive memories forever engraved in our hearts.
Last year, Arely was able to fulfill one of her dreams...to have a Quinceañera. Many of her close friends and family members were there to witness her joy as she walked around the dance floor, glowing with happiness. And as she danced her first dance with daddy. That moment was everything she hoped for.
Throughout this year she dedicated her time to serving the young children who were hospitalized due to leukemia and other cancers. She made gift baskets for them during the holidays and with the help of her parents, she would go to the hospital to personally deliver these baskets while using a walker herself. The last time she delivered baskets was during Easter and a group of her high school friends helped her make the delivery.
Arely did so much during this past year, some would say she did more than what some healthy people have done themselves and she did it while fighting this life consuming illness. #fightlikeagirl
With her death, she leaves a lot of unanswered questions such as Why? Why her? When will there be a cure for cancer? She was young, barely starting her life. She was eager to experience life's many moments, dating, prom, marriage, motherhood, she'll never have these moments, but we can find an answer to the question of How can I help?? How can I help soothe this painful loss for her parents? By donating towards her funeral expenses. The pain these parents are feeling is deep and to have to worry about providing their princess with a memorable burial, is cruelly unnecessary.
Please find it in your heart to help this family.
