This May, I have the amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on a mission trip to Kenya through the Nyogaya Foundation and the Berry College Nursing Program to learn and serve the people of rural Kenya. We will spend 6 days working in rural hospitals, including sponsoring a two-day free clinic in order to provide care to some of the most vulnerable and in-need patients. We will also be visiting three other nursing schools in order to exchange knowledge, insight, and understanding of differing practices, and lastly, learning and immersing ourselves in the culture of Kenya, particularly spending time with the Luo and Masai tribes. I am hoping to raise as much of the $3,000 price as I can.
