Remembering Granny Kate 4x4x48
Donation protected
Today, June 5th, marks one year since we lost our amazing Granny Kate. Beginning on June 29th my brother and I, along with the support of our family will be taking on the 4x4x48 challenge. This means we will run 4km every 4 hours for 48 hours for the acute care at home team in memory of our Granny Kate. We cannot thank the acute care at home team enough for their kindness, compassion and the incredible care they provided to our granny in her final days, ensuring she was comfortable and her wishes fulfilled.
We would be extremely grateful for any donations to this fantastic cause. Since it was set up, the Acute Care at Home service has prevented over 12,000 hospital admissions. The team aims to respond to referrals from GPs, the Ambulance service and local hospitals within just a few hours; providing the same access to diagnostic and laboratory services as in a hospital setting from the patients own home, removing the stress of a hospital admission for those who are most vulnerable.
Thank you so much much for taking the time to read this and support us in honouring our Granny Kate.
