Help Blake Colie Keep Kicking Cancer To The Curb!

Hey everyone!

As most of you know, Blake Colie’s music career came to a complete abrupt stop back in September 2021 having been diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer (Skin Cancer Tumor) that had grown internally. Luckily this cancer had been caught on the front side of development but there’s been a very long road Blake has been on since for treatment and recovery. Blake’s treatment plan started at the beginning of November 2021 in Los Angeles with his first round of an Immunotherapy infusion. Unfortunately there were complications after the infusion when his liver had an adverse reaction to the immunotherapy medicine which caused him not to be able to take any cancer-related medicine and have to focus on getting his liver healed and back to proper daily balance and function before being able to resume any more infusions. This all occurred just before Blake moved back to North Carolina that following December to live with his Mom and get help and support while going through the next chapter of his healing and treatment process.

Once in Southport, NC, at the beginning of 2022 Blake resumed steps in his recovery only to discover the issues with his liver were far more severe than anticipated. He endured multiple visits to the E.R. as well as extended implementation of multiple medicines that luckily stabilized his liver condition and helped him avoid any surgery for the issue. He was able to do an Immunotherapy infusion that Spring of 2022 only to have the same problems arise with his liver thus putting yet another pause on his ability to take any cancer-fighting medicines. It was at this point he was advised to change doctors and see a specific specialty cancer doctor in Chapel Hill, NC in hopes of being approved to take a clinical trial based cancer fighting medicine. Unfortunately his lab results were mishandled and mismanaged along with the follow through by this doctor’s team which again kept Blake waiting and in turn seeking more help.

Luckily after surviving this stand still period of care in NC, Blake arrived at his final and current chapter of care which has been and currently is in Cincinnati, OH. As luck, fate, and good fortune would have it, along with God’s good will, Blake was able to reunite with his college sweetheart who’s originally from this part of Ohio and it would be her family that would lead Blake to what is his current oncologist and health care team. Having arrived in the summer of 2022, Blake was immediately thrown into all new scans, procedures, and diagnosis where his care was fine tuned to suss out all current outlooks for treatment for both his liver and his cancer. Though it has been a VERY rocky and unpredictable road, it’s been the combination of his greatest love and her family’s help, guidance, and support, along with his terrific new doctors and their teams, that have helped Blake to be able to fully restabilize step by step since coming to Ohio. His liver finally made a full recovery this past March of 2024 where no more medicine is needed to assist it’s proper healthy function. Most importantly his cancer tumor is slowly (but surely!) shrinking, and though he is far from completely healed, he has been able to take almost a year and a half of continuous Immunotherapy infusions with zero issues or side effects.

This entire path, process, and timeline have been and remain undefined and Blake needs the help and support within this journey as he still cannot perform and must remain unemployed to focus exclusively on healing. All the combined circumstances unfortunately have left Blake with accumulative medical bills. He is finally at a well enough crossroads to be able to get his belongings, drums, and other equipment out of storage in Los Angeles and move permanently to Ohio to continue his care and healing alongside his girlfriend and her family but needs financial help to do so.

Please consider helping Blake and his family in covering his care, medical costs, medicine, and all other expenses required in getting him moved from LA to Ohio so he can continue to “keep kicking cancer to the curb”.
