Support for Brian West and Family
Donation protected
I am starting a fund raising campaign for my friends Brian and Daphne West and their children Taylor and Bryce. Allee and Taylor met in the 7th grade when they signed up for a Travel Basketball team based in Niceville, Florida. They, along with many other young ladies from NWF Florida, have played together every year since.
Brian who is a devoted husband and father woke up 8 days ago having massive seizures. He was admitted to the CCU unit and on a ventalator for the next 48 hours. Against odds and by the grace of God, Brian came off of the ventalator, but his kidney function continued to decline over the next several days to the point that dialysis looked almost inevitable. But, yet again, God intervened and his kidney function began to stenghten. However, each day has introduced a new challenge with fluid on his lungs now appearing which the doctors are treating. While things remain very serious, doctor's seem to feel more confident that, albeit slow, Brian will recover.
Even with insurance, as most of us know, the medical costs affiliated with the specialized care that Brian needed combined with this length of hospital stay (with no confirmed end in site) can be staggering. Not to mention that Brian's recovery, once he returns home, will be lenghthy preventing him from returning to work immediately.
I am asking all of my friends and all of the people who might see this that know the West family to consider a donation to help this family who has truly helped so many. Also, I'm asking all of the West's friends and family to please share this on your wall so that others can help us reach this goal!
