As many of you know my husband, David Key, is an ICU/Trauma/Emergency room Registered Nurse/First Responder. He has helped many people through illnesses, through suffering from emergent medical conditions and support for those who were mourning from a loss of a loved one. Some of those people may have been you or one of your loved ones or someone you may know. David has been praised for his great nursing skills, his caring and affectionate professional manner and his ability to jump right in during emergencies.
Besides having 2 cases of COVID-19 and 2 reactions from the vaccine, David has been suffering from months of degenerating hips and needs to have bilateral hip replacement surgery in April. He has been suffering in chronic pain 24/7 for several months and now is finally able to have his surgery. Those of you who know David, know that he is a very strong person, both physically and emotionally, but this hip degeneration has brutally attacked him in both manners. He may put up a good front, but he is in constant excruciating pain which is not being relieved by the narcotics his doctors have prescribed.
Due to his physical condition, he has only been able to work part time and is suffering all day he does work. Most days he can barely walk, let alone work a 12/hour nursing shift. Unfortunately, he will be out of commission for 3 months without any PTO or sick time to use and no short-term disability. In addition, he will not have a salary to help us with his/our medical expenses and his portion of our living expenses.
For this reason, I have started a GoFundMe page. I am asking if you can help us out financially to get through these trying times. We both would be forever grateful. Any amount you can spare will make a difference to us.
