My daughter Alyssa was selected as a finalist for the Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA's) Debutante Ball. If selected Miss Cotillion about 90% of that focuses different events and also how much money she can raise for her campaign, which a percentage will be for college scholarship purposes, if awarded the winner. Alyssa and I would appreciate any of my friends and families monetary support in this important and exciting event as she has been working very hard to flawlessly complete all requirements. I hold the distinguished honor of representing the Omicron Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as a 2015-2016 debutante. As a debutante, it is my responsibility to attend various workshops on topics such as college preparation, dating, financial literacy, and a host of others. It is also my responsibility to solicit sponsorships that I will receive a generous portion back in the form of scholarships toward my college education. I would love if you found me worthy of such sponsorship and will contribute to the cause.
I am a senior at Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, Virginia where I am involved in DECA, an Association of Marketing Students, and I am an honor roll student. I have been appointed by the Chesapeake City Council to serve on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board as a Youth Liaison for 2015-2016. I also volunteer weekly at my church to teacher Sunday school for youth at the primary level. Upon completion of high school, it is my desire to continue my education in pursuit of a degree in nursing with a focus in neonatal care.
