Help Me Heal & Fight: A Mother’s Battle with Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share.

In June 2023, I lost my mom unexpectedly. I took time off from work to grieve and handle the emotional and practical weight of that loss. Instead of receiving understanding, I ended up losing my job after nearly 10 years of dedication. Along with that job, I lost the health and life insurance I thought I could rely on.

And not long after, my world shifted again.

I was diagnosed with stage 2, grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). I’ve gone through four separate biopsies, countless tests, and recently learned the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes, which makes it metastatic. Now I’m preparing for a double mastectomy and an intense course of treatment.

I’m 37 years old, and I have two beautiful boys — just four and five years old, who need their mama. And I need to be here for them.

While I’m grateful for the care I’m receiving, there are still so many costs on this journey that are weighing heavily on me — things like herbal and holistic support, healing foods, and simply keeping my home steady and my kids’ world as normal as possible while I go through this fight. I won’t be able to work during treatment, and it’s scary not knowing how I’ll keep things afloat.

This isn’t just about cancer — this is about staying strong for my boys, about healing fully, and about finding peace in the middle of the storm.
