At RKLSwims, we believe swimming is not just a sport, it's a life-saving skill.

But across West Wales, in places like Carmarthen, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Swansea, too many children and families are missing out. Whether due to cost, lack of access, or other barriers, they’re unable to get the lessons that could one day save their lives.

We’re raising funds to change that, and we need your help.

Just £15 sponsors one free swimming lesson

Every donation provides a free, professional swimming lesson to someone in our local community who wouldn’t otherwise have access.

We work with schools, families, and community groups to identify those most in need. Your support directly funds pool time, instructors, equipment and safety resources, right here in our region.

£15 = 1 swimmer gets a free lesson
£30 = 2 lessons for a child who’s never swum before
£54 = A month’s worth of lessons for a swimmer
£225 = A small group class for multiple learners

Why This Matters:

Drowning is the third leading cause of accidental death in children.
Many local families cannot afford lessons or reach facilities regularly.
Learning to swim builds confidence, strength, and mental well-being; and opens doors to sport, fitness and even careers.

Why We Need You:

We’re a registered Community Interest Company (CIC No. 16203384), run by passionate instructors and community advocates. We’re already delivering lessons across the area, but demand and resources are tight.

With your help, we can continue offering completely free swimming lessons to those who need them most and ensure that no child misses out on this essential skill due to cost.
