UPDATE - Elliott underwent the matching process and we received news that he matched with a sweet black lab named Peppermint Patty (Pippy!). He's already very comfortable as you can see in the pictures! Now we begin the training =)

Elliott is a bright, funny autistic kid with high anxiety and ADHD who loves animals, especially raccoons! The world often feels unbearably loud and unpredictable, forcing him to exhaust himself trying to appear "okay" to everyone else around him. Our desire for him is to feel safe being his authentic self - no more draining attempts to hide his needs.

His service dog will provide crucial co-regulation through:

• Recognizing anxiety cues before overwhelm peaks

• Mirroring calm through steady breathing and presence

• Providing deep pressure to regulate his nervous system

• Acting as a physical buffer in crowded spaces

• Interrupting harmful coping behaviors with gentle nudges

• Offering unconditional acceptance during meltdowns

This isn't just a dog - it's freedom. A living, breathing anchor that will help Elliott's nervous system find its balance. Through their bond, Elliott will have another safe space to co-regulate, recovering faster from overwhelm and moving through the world with his needs honored.
