In 1950 a 17 year old Missouri farm boy, Bill Durbin, joined the US Air Force. His first assignment was in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada.
There he met the love of his life Eneth Martin and they were married. It was the beginning of an exciting journey of travel, multiple moves during his 25 years of service. At retirement they moved to Tucson, AZ - they loved the heat and desert.
They have one child, Joanne Testerman, married to Michael Testerman. The joy of their lives in their grandchildren Justin (Traci) Katie, Michael & Nicholas, Scott (Tiffany) and Christopher.
I have been paying the costs of their Alzeheimers Care ($7500.00/mo) for 3 years. I am behind on this but am working with the VA to recop some of this money. (Bill was an injured Vet in the Vietnam War during the TET offensive in Saigon. He served for 25 years.
I am now trying to raise money to help pay for my mother's funeral expenses. I have exhausted all of my financial resources the past 4 years caring for them. It has been my honour.
Bill died on 9.22.15 and now Eneth is also passing in the final stage of Hospice.
I expect to have to pay the money within 7 days. All of the money will go to the funeral home except $750.00 to the VA Cemetary for their cost of the spouse.
I will be eternally greatful for those who can help. Not an easy moment to have to ask for help, very humbling for a proud woman.
