We are reaching out with an appeal to support my brother Abhinav Bajpai, an honest, sincere and committed husband and a father of a 7 year old son. Abhinav originally belongs to Rajasthan, India and was working in Gujarat along with his wife and son.

Abhinav was recently diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurologic disorder in which a person’s own immune system attacks his nervous system, causing severe body paralysis. Currently his upper body is paralyzed including his face, hands, and internal vital organs like lungs rendering him fully dependent on a Ventilator to breathe. He is unable to perform essential body functions like swallowing, breathing, moving hands etc. His symptoms were first detected on Sept 22nd 2024 and he was admitted to Zydus Hospital Ahmedabad, India on Sept 23rd 2024 as his condition worsened. The doctors have advised that he requires a minimum 2 months on the ventilator and specialized treatments such as Plasma Exchange and Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) to complete the treatment.

His medical Insurance supported him with the initial few days of hospitalization. The insurance coverage has now exhausted and the treatment will discontinue if we are unable to arrange the required funds.

The daily cost of his treatment is CAD 2700 and the doctor has recommended him atleast 2 months on ventilator. The cost of 2 months of treatment has been estimated to be CAD 150k. We have arranged some of the funds offline by selling off some assets and request your help to arrange the remaining funds.
