Support John’s Recovery Journey

My name is Tatum Malinky and I’m raising funds for my future brother in law John Descenzo and my sister Jade Malinky. On New Year’s Eve night, a firework malfunctioned and exploded in John’s face, causing severe burns to his face and eyes. He was taken immediately to Metro ED and treated by their amazing burn and ophthalmology team. This accident has left him with both of his eyes swollen and burnt shut, leaving him unable to work, participate in care for their daughter, and in unimaginable pain. He drives for a small private owned business, making paid time off difficult to obtain. I am aiming to raise funds for his multiple follow up appointments that will be necessary over the next few months and both of their time off of work. As a young newly engaged couple, this accident has been nothing short of tragic to their family.
