Ronnie's Road to Recovery

Back in February 2020, Ronnie was experiencing severe pain. While in the hospital, it was discovered that Ronnie had a large tumor on/in his colon. The Dr.’s referred Ronnie for further testing (colonoscopy biopsy), then COVID-19 hit, and all non-emergency procedures where placed on hold.
During the next several months, Ronnie would continue to experience pain daily, sometimes to the point of going back to the hospital, only to wait. As if this were not enough, the COVID pandemic crisis would sweep across the world, leaving Samantha furloughed from her job without pay and Ronnie too ill to go back to work.
Fast forward to last week, Ronnie still in pain, Samantha still without a job, and even more disappointments, as our dear friend Ronnie was diagnosed with colon cancer!
Today we found out that in just a few short months (since February) the cancer has spread to his liver and the Dr’s have discovered a few other nodules/lesions in his colon. They have elevated Ronnie’s cancer to stage 4. This on-top of Diabetes.
AND NOW (tomorrow 8/4/2020) he will undergo an extremely high-risk surgery to save his life!
This cancer is extremely aggressive. The surgery very intense. The recover super difficult.
There are a lot of uncertainties. The Dr’s will be operating and making decisions on the fly. The family is confident in the surgeons, and even more are placing their confidence in God, it is still a very scary time.
This family is such a blessing to others! Ronnie is a man of many talents and great faith. He loves God, and more than that, knows that God loves him! Samantha is a radiant, faithful, and strong woman of God! Their amazing kids, Alvon (9) and Zayden (2) are full of life and energy, have the best smiles and are the sweetest!!
This family is already experiencing significant financial burdens and is in immediate need of support. EVERY $1 HELPS! They are behind more than $10,000 (due to COVID and Illness). Any funds they are blessed with will be used to help cover medical care and expenses, childcare, housing, and the family’s day to day needs.
