Mark Miller and Family

Mark Miller. Marky-Mark. One of the happiest and strongest almost 3 year olds you will ever meet. The Miller family is currently experiencing a season of life that is a terrible struggle and requires the support, love, and prayers from the Jackson County community and beyond. Taylor and Allison Miller (a current teacher and coach at West Jackson Middle School) have spent countless hours at doctors and hospitals trying to figure out what has been the cause of the unexpected seizures that Mark-man has started to experience at such a young age. With all these visits Maggie has missed her little brother and just makes each moment she sees him even better. Mark has the love and strength from both the Miller and Veldhuis side as he is named after his grandfathers. He has Uncle Bubba (Jon Veldhuis, teacher & coach at Jefferson) and his family that continue to love, support, and pray for everyone during this trying time. The Miller family has learned that their amazing Mark has Tay Sachs Disease, a rare degenerative genetic disease that is currently not curable. This is something no family should have to experience. This Gofundme is being set up to help show Taylor, Allison, Maggie, and the entire Miller & Veldhuis family how much the community is supporting them to help them through the doctor visits and medical care for Mark. We don’t know how long this battle will last as there is no known cure, but we do know the faith that Allison and family have is like no other. If you feel so inclined to donate it will be greatly appreciated. There is no financial goal in mind other than to support this family and show them love from our community. GoFundMe requests you to set a goal but understand we aren’t concerned with that. Our specific prayer request is for a cure for Mark and all the other children with Tay Sachs Disease.
