Oh Happy Days, our vegan health food store and café on Lake next to the Post Office was broken into on Thursday night & the cash register with two days worth of uncounted revenue was stolen. John, or Saint John, as we often refer to him, who is so generous hearted in the community and sleeps on a cot in the back in order to provide affordable housing in his own home for those who might otherwise be homeless, and provides free cooked food to those in the neighborhood who have terminal illnesses and can no longer provide for themselves, and often free medicinal herbs for teas for those who are sick, is so deserving of our generosity in return.
He has put up plywood to cover the broken glass door and had to purchase a new cash register. I wish to present him with as much as I can raise in the community as a bit of gratitude for his selflessness in his humble service to others over the years, now that he is in need.
Thank you all in advance for your generosity to this hard working, humble and devoted neighbor in our community at this crucial time. He did not deserve to be burglarized after all he so openheartedly does for everyone else.
