I do not typically do this, I think I have done this one other time a few years ago for a beloved person who touched all of our lives. Well, here I am again. A few weeks before the holidays, my dad Ron was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Was quite a shock to all of us and many others. It has spread quite quickly and he is now going through Chemo and Radiation treatment. My dad would give the shirt off of his back if ever asked. He is not able to work anymore, as he for many many years was a truck driver traveling to all locations around the East Coast. They have now hit a baracade, as he can no longer work, and there is no income coming into the home. He is pretty much home bound other than going to his everyday treatments of which my mom brings him to and from. Everything is just happening so quickly, and they dont have much to fall upon. Being only at the age of 62 he does not qualify for alot of benefits and what they do have, has already been spent . His medical bills are quickly piling up, and he is everyday worried about how the homefront financials are going to be paid. I am just reaching out to share his story, he may hate me for doing so because Ron is a person who is a believer, and I am glad to share that, but at this time he and my mom need all the help and prayers they can get. I think what hurts the most for me, is that he states how he misses the open road and seeing all his buddies on a daily basis. I know for me, I miss his stupid morning jokes as he would call me everyday on my way to work and try and make me laugh, sometimes not so much but gotta love him anyway.

Ron, touches my life in more ways than one and I hope that he will get through this. Thank you for reading my rant and I hope that people will reach out and help make his current situation a little better.
