While this is not a task I ever thought I would be doing, it comes as one of necessity.  My dearest best friend Darcy Kerr Medlin has become a widow at the age of 35! How does this happen?  

I remember when she decided to move to Las Vegas, just shortly before our 30th birthday's.  I was so sad, but only for selfish reasons of loosing my day to day interaction with my best friend.  Within the first year of her living in this new town, I had come to know that she had made the right choice by moving.  

I will never forget the twinkle in her eye when she told me of this new guy she was "working for",  Raymond Medlin.  She wanted to date him, and she was pretty sure the feeling was mutual, but he was her boss.  Before I knew it, that endeavor had ended and Raymond was no longer Darcy's boss, but her boyfriend.  In the blink of an eye they were engaged, and married...literally within five months.  Darcy said "When you know, you know".  Being the judgemental best friend, I couldn't agree more.  Raymond was the peanut butter to Darcy's jelly,  a perfect match!  I had never seen her so happy in all my life!

Raymond Medlin was so good at making Darcy happy, he even gave her what she thought was impossible... the gift of motherhood.  Together they have two amazing children.  Caroline age 3, and Dray 6 months old.  Darcy and Raymond were really just beginning their life together.  This tragedy was unexpected, and leaves Darcy as a single parent and sole provider to their children.  Any donation would be much appreciated.
