Restore Plastic for a Purpose

Hi there! We are Restore: Plastic for a Purpose! We exist to turn trash into treasure and hunger into hope. We plan on taking the plastic that litters Haiti and melt it down into reusable objects.  With the money we make from our sales, we will buy food from Haitian markets to feed local families and stimulate the nation's economy! What makes our organization different is that we believe in the power of partnership! We want to empower the Haitian people by giving them more than a handout but, a hand up! The Haitian people will collect recyclable objects from around their country in exchange for food! Eventually, we want to grow to employ Haitian artisans, mangers, technicians, and so much more! However, because we are in the beginning stages of this awesome startup our funding is extremely low! We have built a plastic melting machine from scratch with no experience. Now, with the help of engineering students at Grand Canyon University, we are able to make a more efficient model that will melt more plastic in a smaller amount of time! Although we would love to fund this mission out of our own means, our team consists of intensely passionate, yet broke college students. We don’t quite have the money to create a more effective machine which will get us closer to our goal of alleviating suffering in Haiti. Therefore, it is our prayer that as we research, build, and pursue this mission, people like you might feel called to come alongside us both prayerfully and financially.
