MedEqual is a student-led, volunteer-based, and registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring inclusive and equitable health outcomes for all. Our founder and President, Riyan Jain, a junior at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), has combined his passion for service with his love for science and technology to create an initiative that amplifies minority representation—specifically South Asians—in clinical trials and medical research.

Through community awareness campaigns, physician engagement, healthcare industry alliances, and advocacy in partnership with like-minded organizations, MedEqual aims to break down barriers and foster a healthcare landscape that truly reflects the diversity of our communities.

However, our efforts have been entirely out-of-pocket so far. We’re launching this fundraiser to sustain and scale our work, including:

Hosting community events to spread awareness and educate the public

Producing engaging marketing materials to reach more people

Enhancing and maintaining our website and social media channels for broader impact
