Hi! My Name is Riv, I use they/them pronouns and I am a trans-masc non-binary Latinx. I have suffered with body dysphoria for several years now in terms of my chest, and my anxiety and depression have only exacerbated this condition. Iv'e never felt that I was really a girl, and when I came out as non-binary I finally began to feel somewhat free. But my body is still something that holds me back from truly feeling at home with myself. The only way to change this situation is for me to receive top surgery.

Cost is really up in the air right now. My insurance fell through as of 9/7, leaving me to either wait another 2 years for full coverage or switch to an insurance that is willing to cover half the cost. At the risk of losing my surgery date (10/31) i've opted for the latter. Within the same week of making such decision, my motor vehicle ( which I planned on selling for the sake of sudden surgery funds needed) was stolen.

I am a full time chef and I work as much as I can outside the kitchen at several locations, doing different kinds of work that I can get my hands on (coatcheck, bar back, DJ, etc.). Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of money to go towards this surgery even though I'm saving everything that I can. I am still looking at a great deal of medical debt in the very very near future.

I know I can't continue to live in this body and long to be myself. Anything you can donate to help me meet my goal of crowdfunding half the costs of my surgery (and living costs during recovery time) would be eternally appreciated.
