Dear Rivoli Customers, Music Community, Friends and Family,

We hope that all of you are safe and keeping well during these unprecedented times.

Two weeks ago we launched the Rivoli Home Sessions on our Instagram account (@rivolitoronto) as a way to provide musicians a platform to perform their music to a virtual audience on a virtual stage. It was born out of the urgency to "Keep Our Music Alive" in the spirit of our legendary music venue. Since then, we’ve been trying to figure out a way to help the many great artists who have already donated their time and those artists who are yet to perform on the series.  

Since we were mandated to close our doors, bands, musicians, and artists alike, were left with no stage to perform on and who are now collectively navigating these uncertain times with no income. We now come to you asking for your help and support for these amazing musicians who are all being hit hard by this global pandemic. The disruption to our music community and the stress it has caused, both for musicians and the many Toronto venues alike, is painful and we more than ever have to come together and support each other as best we can. 

So, starting today we are launching our Rivoli Home Sessions Fund, basically a virtual tip jar, that will help put some money back into the pockets of these great musicians who have volunteered their time to be a part of our online Home Sessions - Artist Takeover Series.

Any amount you are able to "tip" is truly welcomed and appreciated. An added bonus to the fundraising campaign is that we are offering two perks for certain donation levels; 1) is a Rivoli "Keep Our Music Alive" T-Shirt and 2) a Rivoli "Keep Our Music Alive" Tote Bag. For donations of $30 or more, you will receive a T-Shirt; $25 will get you a Tote Bag. We are still sorting shipping logistics (delivery or a local pick up option) but we will sort that out once we gauge the level of support and contact you directly for your particulars once the campaign has ended. All net proceeds will go to our participating musicians in the series. 

As we navigate this fluid and difficult situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we thank you in advance for your support and hope that you can tune into our Instagram page (@rivolitoronto) daily between 5-7pm EST. Even if it is to simply escape our new normal for a short while, we ensure you that you will be entertained by some of Toronto and Canada’s great musicians!
